







1983 - 1990
Entrance into current Edifice. Radio Ministry started in 1984. Co-Host on NBCA, Inc. and First live recording of the Mass Choir in 1985. Hosted First NBCA, Inc. Congress & Youth Convention. Appointed the Southern University and A&M College System Board of Supervisors in 1989 and later served as Chairman of the Board for two (2) years. Leadership in A.B. Palmer March on Drugs with the late activist Dick Greogory in 1989.
1973 - 1982
Called to Preach at Calvary MBC. Additions made to existing facility. Installed as Pastor in November 1973. Holy Matrimony to First Lady Carl Glenn Gant in 1974. First African American to graduate from Louisiana State University of Shreveport.
Preached 1st Sermon National Baptist Convention in Detroit, Michigan in 1976. Additional property purchased in 1978. Moderator of Mt. Hermon Dist. Assoc. in 1979. First 40- Hour Prayer Vigil in 1982.
1994 - 2001
In 1994, Drama “Calvary” performed at the Strand Theater and Project A.L.A.R.M. In 1995, Elected President BME State Convention. Appointed to Airport Authority serving 14 years / 3 Terms. In 1996, Implemented the Church Based Tutorial Program. First Annual Mother/Daughter Banquet in 1998. First Annual Gospel Choir Banquet and First Annual Usher’s Banquet in 1999. Purchased Additional Property in 2000. Premier Care Clinic opened in 2001.
2005 - 2012
First 95 Day Tent Revival. In 2006, Freedom School and Teen Pregnancy Program initiated. Calvary Website and The Learning Haven established in 2007. Child Nutrition Program instituted in 2012.
2013 - 2023
Co-Chairman Caddo Parish School Board Search Committee for Superintendent. In 2014, Southern Gentlemen Honoree. Wednesday and Saturday evening prayer meetings on a Mooretown corner, and hosting tent revivals in Hollywood. Founder of “The Light of the Night” broadcast. In 2023, Celebrated 60 years in the Preaching Ministry and Honored for 50 Years as Pastor of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
2024 - 2025
The purchase of a new edifice located on Pines Road. The last session of the 42 Hour Prayer Vigil located at the 5823 Ledbetter location. January 19, 2025, was the entrance service into the new church edifice located at 3939 Pines Rd. Shreveport, Louisiana.
